Hummels 4 Less

"In February 2009, after a 5-month hiatus, the production of M. I. Hummel figurines resumed in Rödental, Germany, the familiar and beloved location. A new owner has taken over the rights and facilities from the former manufacturer, Goebel, and founded a new company, Maufaktur Rödental, to continue the tradition of M. I. Hummel production. The new company is making use of the same processes that have been in place for 70 years. These processes are being carried out by employees that were recruited from the former M. I. Hummel team. ""It was important to us to be able to build on their wealth of experience,"" says the new owner Jörg Köster. Further, he says, ""We aim to emphasize originality, excellence and quality rather than quantity.""

Based on the art of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel of the convent of Siessen at Saulgau, Germany, which belongs to the Third Order of St. Frances, these figurines have been a favorite collectable for several decades. The charming figurines depict children in various activities and manage to be timeless in nature. Artists who have devoted their lives to producing these high quality images manufacture this beautiful and moving artwork in a factory in Germany near the convent of Siessen. Sister Maria Innocentia is no longer with us, but her tradition is maintained since members of her order approve every piece before it is produced.

We have arranged our site by categories. If you know the name or Hummel number of the piece you desire use the Search feature above to quickly locate it. If you do not see what you are looking for here please call at toll free at 1-888-542-8115.
